Disaster Links

2/10/2006
Due to the weather, the party will be rescheduled for next Saturday, 2/18/2006.
2/7/2006
It has been a quite month since my last posting. Several of you have made other donations to complete what Wade and Patti have needed. They have plenty of clothes, towels, furniture and much-much more.

To show their appreciation, Wade and Patti would like to throw a thank you party. It will be at their house on Saturday February 11th, 2006.

12/28/2005
Wade went back to work today. Another sign that things are returning to normal. Winthin the next week I will start providing a more detailed list of items needed for the house.
Currently, I know that a refrigerator, queen size matress, twin matress, and a complete third bed.
12/25/2005
Wade and Patti will be moving in with family for the short term.
They have several errands to run tomorrow as well as moving into their temporary dwellings. Another busy day.
They should be in a position to look at some of the furniture that has been offered by Tuesday or Wednesday.
12/23/2005
It has been a long and tiring day providing emotional support and coordinating donations. If I have not called anyone back yet, I apoligize. I will hit the phones tomorrow and return phone calls. Patti and Wade wish to thank everyone for the tremendous response to their tragedy. Their immediate needs of shelter, food and clothing has been met. There will even be some presents under the tree for Christmas. We are updating as often as we can to let everyone know what is needed.
Critical needs stil not met
Currently, the most critical need is housing. It is difficult during this time of year to find housing on short notice. The interm housing provided by the Red Cross will run out on Sunday. Patti and Wade still have a mortgage payment to make, but no housing. They are looking for low cost housing until they can make more permanent housing arrangements. Free or low cost housing is needed for the next month or two. Housing in the Salisbury/Kannapolis area would be prefered.
12/22/05

KC4NBW, Wade and KI4GUN Patti’s home was claimed by fire on Thursday, December 22,2005. While everyone made it out of the house safely, they were not able to save any of their personal belongings.

Patti and the boys are staying at the Ramada Inn in Salisbury until Sunday.

They also lost the car that was parked in the carport.
