I've gotten the Linux machine back up. It has been running for a couple of months now and appears stable. There is
a web game (Black Nova Traders), bbs (Synchronet) and telnet game (Star Ship Traders) running on it now. I have also found a ActiveX control that can be used to write bbs telnet games in Visual Basic. I have written a bbsGateway program that allows me to reduce the number of ports open to the Internet. If you log into the bbs (EMME CEE ^2 BBS) you can get to the Tradewars Game Server, Linux Synchronet BBS and Star Ship Traders through the "O" (Other Games) option. After bbsGateway runs for awhile (to make sure it is stable), I will be releasing the bbsGatway program so other bbs sysops can Gate to other servers. If you know of bbs Telnet game servers that you would like to see. Drop me a note. I can host programs that run on Windows NT4.0 or Linux Redhat 7.2. |
| 11/12/2003 | The Linux BBS is down. I need to set it up again. Not sure when I will do that. After two hard
drive crashes, I thought I'd give it a rest. I do have a new machine with Linux on it. Now I just have to reinstall
everything. In the meantime, I have added another hobby. My wife and I both have gotten our HAM licenses. There is a lot to learn in this new hobby. I will still be working on the bbs and web site.

| 8/5/2003 | I've added a Linux machine. You can telnet in on port 513 to get to the Synchronet BBS package. It has a couple of Linux games on it and a gateway to the DOS games. |
| 7/27/2003 | That's weird!!! LORD crashed today. The player.dat file was showing as a 4GB file. It should have been about 21k in size. I had to delete the file (wiping out all the LORD users) and create a new one. Sorry, there was no backup. |

| 6/8/2003 | !!! System Crash !!! Due to a system crash, some items have
been down for a couple of days. I still haven't gotten everything installed and check, especially on
the web site. I did not loose any data, but it has been a real chore getting all the programs installed
and configured.

| 4/6/2003 | I've found some pretty good Java and Flash games. The Java games came with source code, so I made a few tweeks to make them record scores on the web site. Now there is a top 10 score list for some of them. Hope you enjoy. |

| I finally got around to working on the web site. After locating phpBB to handle the messages and TelSvr to handle the games, things are off. After being off-line for almost 6 years EMME CEE ^2 is back. Things are starting to take shape. There are a few discussions taking place and active participation in the games. |
