Many of the old BBS games are still around. After searching around for awhile, I finally found a telnet server
designed to run the BBS doors. A program called TelSvr by Rick Parrish (Manning) is easy to set up and configure.
Hopefully, it will aslo be stable.

How do you play the telnet games?
|
|
Log into www.ags2.com with your favorite telnet client. You can even use the one that comes with Windows 2000/XP.
Or you can use the java based telnet on the link below.
|
|
After you start the telnet session, you will see a user login. Create a new login and password. You do not have
to use the same login that you use on the message board.
|
|
A menu will show you the available games. Pick an option and the game will come up on your screen. When
you are finished playing the game it will send you back to the game server menu. Select another game or use
the <!> to exit.

|
However you get there, be sure to have fun. I will add more games as time permits.

There have been alot of comments about the words in the HangMan game. I have developed a method of verifing the words, but
it will require someone to look at each word in a web page and approve or reject the words. The web page will actually look up the
words using dictionary.com. It may take a few seconds for the definitions to show.
If you are bored and have nothing
better to do. Just click here to validate the words: Verify Hang Man Words.
After the words are verified, I can export only the verified words back to the game. I can then make a word editor, so we can add new words.

New!! 8/4/2003
I have now added a Linux machine to the site. You can get into it by telnetting in on port 513 (as opposed to the normal port 23).
I may swap the DOS and Linux ports in the future, but for now. They are what they are.
On the Linux machine, the bbs server is Synchronet BBS. I am still learning about Synchronet, but have managed to get the initial setup done. Under external programs, you will
find a link to the DOS machine and the Linux doors. I will add more doors in the future.
The Linux machine also lets me add php web pages. I have installed Black Nova Traders on that machine.
